The senate and management of Federal University Of Technology Owerri at its 416th senate meeting has Expelled 4 and Rusticates over 136 students of the institution. This was disclosed to us by our insider in the school senate. According to him, two the expelled students were asked to leave the university due to irregularities discovered in their admission documents; the passport photograph on their photo card were said to be different from the photographs in the university form 6 which revealed an act of impersonation during the 2015/2016 Post Utme Exercise. The other two were expelled because the university management discovered that their academic qualification were not authentic and that the academic transcripts they submitted for registration were fake.
The 136 students were Rusticated from the university for a period of 2 years following the senate consideration of a report on Examination Misconduct found them liable of
copying and or
being in possession of implicating examination materials during the 2015/2016 Rain Semester Examination.
