See The Condition Of FUTO After The Protest

 
On the 17th of February  2017, the students of Federal University Of Technology Owerri FUTO took to the street to protest over the increase in tuition fee of the university. This protest led to the shut down of the university by the federal government. The students were asked to vacate the school premises. From the pictures below, we can see the state of the university as no single soul is found in school as at the time this pictures were taken, it is as if students are tired of school as thru fled home immediately. According to the school management, academic activities will resume on the 13th of this month but, from the picture below, no repairs have been done on the damaged buildings so we doubt if school will really resume on 13th march. The only good thing about the strike is that eziobodo now have a good road. as the strike continues, we will be bringing you update of any happenings in FUTO and possible resumption date.
