UNIABUJA Employs Best Graduating Student Of School Of Law
Report has it that the authorities of University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) has
offered an immediate employment to the best graduating student at the
final bar examination of the Nigerian Law School, Miss Fatima Sani.
Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Michael Adikwu, while commending her, stated that her appointment takes immediate effect. She is expected to resume work as a Graduate Assistant in the university.
“You can see for three progressive years we have gotten first class in the law school. That is a feet. No faculty does it in this country. It is a big feet for us.
“We have prizes for them. The same thing we are doing now we will do for them (the three remaining students) whenever we are able to and we also have a little money to give to them,” Adikwu said.
Miss Sani, who won nine awards, dedicated her award to God and hard work.
The awards she won include; Sir Adetokunbo Ademola award for best student of the year (1st prize), Dr. Teslim Elias, award for best student of the year (1st prize), Hon. Justice Atanda Fatayi-Williams award for best student of the year (1st prize), Director General, Nigerian Law School prize for 1st class students, Council of Legal Education star prize donated by council of legal education.
Others are: Chief Adegboyega Awomolo award for 3rd best student in corporate law practice, National Association of Women Judges award for best overall female student of the year, Mrs. Oluwatosin Doherty, former director of academics, Nigerian Law School award for best female student in criminal litigation and Chief Joe Kyari Gadzama award for best student in civil and criminal litigation.
