NANS Gives Minister Of Education Ultimatum To Recall 13 Sacked VCs
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has given a 14 day
ultimatum to the education minister, Mallam Adamu Adamu to re-instate
the 13 Vice Chancellors who were wrongfully sacked by the federal
government in February.
According to the president of NANS, Comrade Tijani Usman Shehu the refusal of the minster to re-instate the sacked lecturers can best be described as a bald-faced attempt to politicize our universities and arrest academic progression by the jugular.
The NANS President equally threatened that at the expiration of the ultimatum, if the minster still remains adamant, this will only be an invitation to the Nigerian students to occupy his office and demand his resignation.
